The broken shaft of the belt conveyor reducer occurs on the high-speed shaft of the reducer. The most common is to use the first stage of the reducer for the vertical bevel gear shaft of the high speed shaft. There are two main reasons for shaft breakage.
The design strength of high speed shaft of reducer is not enough
This situation generally occurs at the shoulder, because there is a transition fillet here, easy to fatigue damage, such as fillet too small will make the reducer in a short time to break the shaft. The fracture after the broken shaft is usually relatively flush. In this case, the reducer should be replaced or the reducer design should be modified.
Different centers of high speed shaft
When the motor shaft and reducer high-speed shaft have different centers, the radial load of the reducer input shaft will be increased, and the bending moment on the shaft will be increased, and the shaft will be broken in long-term operation. During installation and maintenance, its position should be carefully adjusted to ensure that the two shafts are concentric. In most cases, the motor shaft will not break the shaft, this is because the motor shaft material is generally 45 steel, the motor shaft is coarse, the stress concentration is better, so the motor shaft is usually not broken.
Broken shaft in the case of double motor drive
The dual motor drive is equipped with two reducers and two motors on a single driving drum. In speed reducer high speed shaft design or selection allowance is relatively small more easily broken shaft phenomenon. In the past, the belt conveyor drive does not use hydraulic coincidence device, this kind of situation is easy to happen, because the two motors in the start and run speed synchronization and force balance is difficult to ensure. Now, most of the hydraulic coincidences have been used to break the shaft phenomenon is less, but should pay attention to the use of coincidences should not be too much, in order to make it have limited torque and improve the service life of coincidences.
